Last night we had a Taste of Morocco here at The Village Grocer. Linda and Karen showed our eager students how to cook with a Tagine. Preparing a classic chicken dish ” Chicken Tagine with Apricots, Dates, Sultanas & Almonds”…. using the Moroccan cooking vessel. Made of clay, this unique bakeware has a lid shaped like a pointed hat which allows steam to circulate above and around the contents while cooking infusing the dish with flavour and tenderness. Each “student” was able to take home their very own Tagine along with many delicious recipes to enjoy with their family and friends.
